FAQ

Opening times?

We are open Thu/Fri 5-9pm and Sat/Sun 8am-3pm.

Where?

The Sea Sauna is located at Tower Bay Beach Car Park, Portrane, Co. Dublin, K36 RX92. You can also find us on google maps.

How do I book?

You can book your sauna session through our website calendar, just select your date/time and follow the payment steps. Don't forget to finalise the booking by clicking the 'pay now' button below your order summary - after completing your payment/booking, you'll receive a confirmation email that includes a link to our waiver form.

What do I bring?

Please bring two towels, one to sit on, and one to use after your sauna. We recommend bringing water/hydration and a small snack for afterwards. We sell towels and sauna hats at the sauna and there is a coffee truck located right beside us that sells lovely hot drinks and treats. See our T&C's for a full list of our sea sauna rules.

Can I swim during my sauna session?

Absolutely, you're welcome to swim before, during, or after your sauna session at Tower Bay Beach, just a minute's stroll from the Sea Sauna. Please bear in mind that sea swimming is undertaken at your own risk. We strongly recommend staying within your depth, avoiding swimming alone, and erring on the side of caution when there are strong winds/waves. If in doubt, use the showers at the sauna to cool down instead of swimming.

Can I swim at low tide?

Yes, you can still easily swim at Tower Bay Beach, even at low tide!

Is there a changing area?

Yes, we have a changing area at the sauna. There is also a changing area located at Tower Bay Beach. We also have a storage area for belongings, and we will, within reason, keep an eye on them as best as we can. Please note, we don't accept any responsibility for lost or stolen property.

Is there a toilet?

Yes, there are public toilets located beside us on Tower Bay Beach. Please note the public toilets are usually open 9am-9pm and that times may change throughout the year.

Is there a shower?

We currently have an off grid cold shower/hose that you can use to cool off during/after your sauna. There is also a high pressure mains tap located just behind the toilet block.
