  • Are pregnant.

  • Are prone to dizziness, fainting, or any other conditions that may impair your ability to use the sauna safely.

2. Sauna Rules and Regulations

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience at The Sea Sauna, all patrons must adhere to the following rules:

Personal Safety: All jewellery must be removed, and swimsuits with metal components, slimming panels, or items that may cause burns are prohibited. Metal cans and glass water bottles are not permitted in the sauna. Do not touch the sauna stones or the sauna itself at any time as they are extremely hot and can cause severe burns.

Towel Requirement: You are required to bring a clean, cotton towel to sit on in the sauna. Failure to bring a towel will result in denial of entry to the sauna.

Slip Hazard: Exercise caution when entering or exiting the sauna, plunge pools and surrounding areas, as they may be wet and slippery. Move carefully within the sauna, as the benches and floors may also be wet and slippery. Move carefully when entering and exiting the plunge pools as the steps and surrounding areas may also be wet and slippery.

Dress Code: Appropriate attire includes swimsuits, swimming togs, or bikinis. Clothing must be free from metal components and suitable for sauna use.

Phone-Free Zone: Our saunas are designated as a phone-free zone to foster relaxation. Mobile phones and cameras must be kept outside the sauna area.

Water/Steam Pour on Sauna Stones: You may only pour one small spoonful of water on the sauna stones every 10-15 minutes. Over-pouring can reduce the sauna’s temperature and adversely affect other users’ experience. Adding oils to the sauna water is strictly prohibited. Do not attempt to touch the stones or the sauna itself. For any issues, contact a staff member immediately.

No Eating or Alcohol: The Sea Sauna is an alcohol-free facility. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited. Food is also banned from within the sauna. Consumption of food or beverages in the sauna is not permitted.

Showering: Always shower before using the plunge pools. Rinse off after returning from the sea before re-entering the sauna. Additionally, if you are wearing fake tan or lotions, rinse off thoroughly before entering the sauna.

Body Care: Do not use creams or lotions in the sauna. These can create slippery conditions, clog pores, and result in a slip hazard. Protect your hair with a towel or turban. Sauna whisks are also not permitted.

Cooling Down & Hydration: After leaving the sauna, cool down gradually with cooler air or a cold shower. To prevent dehydration, drink water and take electrolytes.

Temperature & Duration: Limit sauna sessions to 15-20 minutes. Always listen to your body and exit the sauna immediately if you experience dizziness, nausea, or light-headedness.

Age Restriction: All public sauna sessions are strictly for individuals aged 16 and over. If you wish to bring individuals under the age of 16, you must book the entire sauna session as a private booking. For more info on how to make a private booking, please see our FAQ section.

Supervision:
Children must be accompanied and continuously supervised by an adult at all times while on the premises. The adult supervising the child is fully responsible for ensuring that the child adheres to all rules and safety guidelines. The Sea Sauna does not accept liability for any incidents, injuries, or damages.

Fire Safety: Hanging clothes to dry inside the sauna is prohibited due to fire risk. If using a wood-burning heater, do not leave the sauna unattended.

Post-Sauna Rest: Allow yourself at least 15 minutes to rest in a cool place after your sauna session to aid recovery. This is particularly important before driving.

Respect and Courtesy: Be considerate of other patrons’ personal space and avoid crowding. Keep noise levels to a minimum to ensure a pleasant environment for everyone.

Time Management: Adhere to your allocated time slot. If you are short on time, opt for a quick shower or plunge rather than a sea swim.

Right of Refusal: The Sea Sauna reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual from the premises at its sole discretion.

Cancellation Policy: A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations. Please send us your booking confirmation so that we can cross-reference and issue a refund.

Change Policy: A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for any changes to bookings. You can manage your booking and change your time/date yourself by following the steps on our FAQ section.
